Nancy S. Todd
Nancy Todd is the lead Applications Developer and Data Systems Curator for Astromaterials Curation in the Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science Division at the Johnson Space Center. She is in charge of managing and developing the information systems used in support of the curation of extraterrestrial materials. She has developed web database applications to showcase the sample collections at JSC, including the Genesis, Stardust, and Lunar sample catalogs and the Antarctic Meteorite Classification Database. She is also responsible for the development and management of internal database applications dealing with all aspects of the curation and analysis of astromaterials samples. She is currently working on new database applications for the Antarctic Meteorite and the Hayabusa sample collections, as well as a comprehensive photograph database of Apollo-mission samples processed by the Lunar lab.
Since the early nineties, Mrs. Todd has developed and managed web and database applications at companies like Texas Instruments, Continental Airlines and, as a web development consultant, for many Houston, TX-area business owners. She has also offered private training to business owners on website optimization techniques for search engines and has served as an editor for the online directory dmoz.org. Mrs. Todd has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is a Certified Internet Web Professional (CIW) and Certified CIW Instructor.
